South London Sanding Ltd (SLS Ltd) are specialists in the sanding and quality finishes of all wooden floors using the latest in ‘dust-free’ machine technology. With an ever increasing allergy problem related to carpeted properties, SLS advise home owners to discard dirt hoarding carpets and reclaim the existing natural pine floorboards, laid during the original construction, ranging from the late 1800’s, through Victorian times right up to the 60’s and 70’s. Material removed by sanding is recycled into filler paste to fill the gaps between the boards to cancel out draughts which in turn increases the thermal properties of the floor in several ways. Once the natural wood floor is prepared, it is sealed using eco-friendly water-based, odourless, primers and lacquers rated to the highest of British Standards (BS), manufactured in Sweden by award winning Bona-Kemi.

Bona lacquers awarded EMICODE very low emission classification
Eight Bona finishes are the first in the industry to be awarded the GEV EMICODE EC1 classification. EMICODE is the registered trademark of the GEV classification system which classifies indoor installation products, adhesives and construction materials according to their emission characteristics. The ECI classification signifies 'very low emission'. Already, since 1997, several of Bona's adhesives have been ECI certified.
